Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Cardio Thoracic Surgeon based in Salem. The Cardiothoracic Surgeon will be responsible for evaluating patients with cardiovascular and thoracic conditions, recommending appropriate surgical interventions, and performing complex cardiac and thoracic surgeries. Daily responsibilities include conducting pre-operative assessments, collaborating with cardiologists and multidisciplinary clinical teams, performing surgeries in accordance with established clinical guidelines, and managing post-operative follow-up and inpatient care. The role also involves maintaining accurate medical records, participating in case discussions, contributing to quality improvement initiatives, and staying current with developments in cardiothoracic medicine and surgery.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Medicine and Cardiology, including diagnosis and management of cardiovascular conditions.
• Advanced skills in Cardiac Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery for a range of surgical procedures.
• Proficiency in Thoracic Surgery, including management of lung, mediastinal, and chest wall conditions.
• Recognized medical degree (MBBS ) and completed residency in General Surgery, followed by super-specialization (MCh/DNB or equivalent) in Cardiothoracic or Cardiac Surgery.
• Valid medical license and relevant board or specialty certifications as required by local regulations.
• Demonstrated experience in high-volume surgical settings, with a strong focus on patient safety and evidence-based practice.
• Excellent clinical decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary care teams.
• Commitment to ethical practice, continuous learning, and adherence to hospital protocols and regulatory standards.
