Manager- Strategic Buying

Location: Corporate Office – Govandi East Mumbai
Working Days: Monday to Saturday
(2nd & 4th Saturday off; 1st 3rd & 5th Saturday working)

Experience: 8 years
Qualification: MBA in Supply Chain Management (BE / BCom preferred)

Role Summary

The Manager – Strategic Buying will be responsible for end-to-end sourcing and governance of indirect services and consumables ensuring cost optimization preferred supplier management compliance and audit readiness across Marketing IT HR R&D Logistics and Plant Operations.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

1. Sourcing Process Management

• Manage category sourcing for Indirect Services and Consumables including:

  • Marketing services & promotions

  • IT & SaaS subscriptions

  • Logistics & Freight Forwarders

  • R&D services (Clinical BA-BE)

  • Lab & Production consumables

• Drive spend consolidation with preferred suppliers and prevent supplier proliferation.

• Simplify sourcing processes and review/update SOPs.

• Handle renewals of IT agreements MSAs and indirect service contracts.

2. Approval Management

• Review and approve New Vendor & HCO (Healthcare Organization) onboarding.

• Approve POs Service Entries and DocuSign workflows as per Delegation of Authority (DoA).

• Review and approve:

  • ARIBA sourcing projects & award approvals

  • Quote Comparison Reports (QCR)

  • Marketing BRs and consumables sourcing

• Ensure timely approvals while maintaining compliance discipline.

3. Strategic Project Initiatives (SPIs)

• Actively participate in Strategic Project Initiatives.

• Contribute ideas for process improvement cost optimization and risk mitigation.

4. Audit Management & Compliance

• Coordinate and manage internal process audits.

• Prepare business units/sites for audits.

• Draft management responses to audit observations.

• Track and ensure timely closure of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

• Proactively identify and close process gaps.

• Hands-on experience with ARIBA / SAP / Procurement systems

• Solid understanding of compliance audits and governance

• Stakeholder management across Marketing IT R&D Plants Finance
