We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Treasury Manager to oversee the organization's treasury operations, cash flow management, banking relationships, liquidity planning, and financial risk management. The ideal candidate should be a Chartered Accountant (CA) with strong expertise in treasury functions, banking operations, hedging strategies, and working capital optimization. This role requires close collaboration with finance, business, and banking partners to ensure efficient fund management while maintaining compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
Key & Cash Flow Management:
- Manage the organization's treasury operations, ensuring optimum utilization of funds and maintaining adequate liquidity.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow forecasts to support business operations and strategic planning.
- Monitor cash inflows and outflows, identify funding gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
- Optimize cash management practices to improve operational efficiency and maximize returns on surplus funds.
- Develop and implement treasury policies, procedures, and controls to strengthen governance.
Banking Operations & Relationship Management:
- Manage day-to-day banking operations, including fund transfers, payments, collections, and bank reconciliations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Negotiate banking facilities, pricing, interest rates, and service agreements.
- Coordinate with banks for loans, working capital facilities, guarantees, letters of credit, and other banking products.
- Ensure smooth execution of treasury transactions while maintaining appropriate documentation.
Working Capital & Liquidity Management:
- Monitor and optimize working capital by effectively managing receivables, payables, and inventory funding.
- Evaluate short-term and long-term borrowing requirements.
- Recommend efficient financing strategies to minimize borrowing costs.
- Monitor liquidity positions and ensure timely availability of funds for operational requirements.
- Analyze borrowing costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
Hedging & Financial Risk Management:
- Develop and execute foreign exchange (Forex) and interest rate hedging strategies to mitigate financial risks.
- Monitor foreign currency exposures arising from imports, exports, and international transactions.
- Evaluate market conditions and recommend appropriate hedging instruments.
- Track hedge effectiveness and ensure compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements.
- Manage commodity price exposure, including Gold Metal Loan (GML) positions where applicable.
- Prepare periodic reports on treasury risk exposures for senior management.
Debt Management & Fund Raising:
- Support fund-raising initiatives through banks and financial institutions.
- Prepare CMA data and financial information required for credit assessments and loan proposals.
- Coordinate with lenders during loan sanction, renewal, and documentation processes.
- Monitor debt servicing schedules and ensure timely repayment of principal and interest obligations.
- Analyze financing alternatives to optimize the organization's capital structure.
Compliance & Regulatory Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with RBI regulations, FEMA guidelines, banking covenants, and other applicable statutory requirements.
- Monitor compliance with loan agreements and financial covenants.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors for treasury-related audits.
- Maintain treasury documentation and ensure adherence to internal control frameworks.
- Prepare treasury reports for management, lenders, and regulatory authorities.
Credit Rating & Insurance Management:
- Coordinate with credit rating agencies for periodic rating reviews and information submissions.
- Work closely with insurance providers for policy renewals and risk coverage.
- Support management in improving the organization's credit profile.
- Ensure timely submission of financial data required by rating agencies and insurers.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare treasury MIS reports covering liquidity, borrowings, investments, cash flow, and risk exposures.
- Conduct variance analysis between projected and actual cash flows.
- Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities related to treasury.
- Provide actionable insights for improving treasury performance and financial efficiency.
- Develop dashboards and reports for senior leadership.
Process Improvement & Treasury Controls:
- Identify opportunities to automate treasury processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Strengthen treasury controls to minimize operational and financial risks.
- Collaborate with ERP and finance teams to enhance treasury reporting and automation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across treasury operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
- 3+ years of experience in Treasury, Banking Operations, Corporate Finance, or Financial Risk Management.
- Strong knowledge of treasury operations, liquidity management, and working capital optimization.
- Hands-on experience in Banking Operations and Hedging is mandatory.
- Good understanding of RBI regulations, FEMA guidelines, and banking compliance.
- Experience in forex management, debt management, and treasury reporting.
- Knowledge of Gold Metal Loan (GML) management will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle or equivalent) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Expertise in cash flow forecasting and treasury planning.
- Experience in debt raising, loan documentation, and lender relationship management.
- Knowledge of treasury management systems (TMS).
- Exposure to commodity hedging and financial derivatives.
