Tracxn - Technical Lead - Internal Applications

About the Role :

We are hiring a Tech Lead to build and lead the team responsible for custom internal applications and workflow automation across Finance, HR, Operations and other business functions. The team uses AI-assisted development and automation tools such as Claude, Copilot and similar technologies to improve development velocity and quality.

This is a technically hands-on leadership role, but not a day-to-day coding position. You will contribute to critical prototypes and foundational components when required, while primarily owning architecture decisions, code reviews, technical standards and complex production issues.

Technical Expectations :

- Strong software design and system-design fundamentals

- Database and data-modelling experience

- Experience operating production applications

- Full-stack development depth

Experience :

- 6+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a Tech Lead, Lead Engineer or equivalent technical leadership role.

What You Will Do :

- Build Internal Business Applications :

i. Design and develop internal applications for business teams.

ii. Build internal platforms and workflow systems that streamline business operations across functions.

iii. Create configurable approval workflows, task management systems, and process automation solutions to improve efficiency, governance, and scalability.

iv. Develop dashboards, reporting systems, and operational tools.

- Automate Business Processes :

i. Identify manual processes and automate them through software.

ii. Build workflow engines, integrations, and automation solutions.

iii. Leverage AI and modern automation technologies to improve productivity.

- Own End-to-End Delivery :

i. Design system architecture and technical solutions.

ii. Develop, test, deploy, and maintain Internal applications.

iii. Continuously improve systems based on feedback and business needs.

- Integrate Systems :

i. Build integrations between HRMS, Finance, CRM, and other internal systems.

ii. Ensure data flows seamlessly across platforms.

iii. Improve reporting, visibility, and operational of Problems You May Solve :

- Automating employee onboarding and offboarding workflows.

- Building employee self-service portals.

- Automating approval workflows and business processes in Finance.

- Developing internal productivity and operations tools.

- Creating Finance and HR reporting systems.

- Building AI-powered workflows and automation solutions.

- Integrating multiple business applications into a unified platform.

- Eliminating repetitive manual work through technology.

What We Are Looking For :

- 4+ years of software engineering experience.

- Strong coding skills and software design fundamentals.

- Experience building web applications, enterprise applications, workflow systems, automation platforms, or internal tools.

- Ability to understand business processes and translate them into software solutions.

- Strong ownership and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Experience in workflow automation, enterprise application development, digital transformation, or business process automation.

- Experience working with AI-enabled automation tools and modern development frameworks.

- Prior experience leading small engineering teams.
