I'm looking for a driven and talented Junior Interior Designer to join CozyNest Interiors in Whitefield, Bengaluru. This role is perfect for someone eager to learn, contribute to diverse projects, and grow within a fast-paced environment. You'll work directly with me, supporting projects from concept to completion.

DESIGN LIFECYCLE AND CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
\n
\n
A. Requirements & Conceptualization Support:
\n
\n - Assist in gathering precise project requirements.
\n - Support ideation and preliminary concept development.
\n - Obtain client approvals to advance the design stages.
\n
\n
B. Design Development & Documentation:
\n
\n - Develop mood boards, space plans, and material palettes under guidance.
\n - Research and select items/materials, considering dimensions, durability, and cost.
\n - Create 2D space plans and detailed 3D models using SketchUp and AutoCAD.
\n - Render photorealistic images of finalized designs using V-Ray, D5 Render etc.
\n - Prepare electrical, false ceiling, and furniture layouts.
\n - Maintain accurate meeting minutes and concept notes for all projects.
\n

C. Project Execution & Site Coordination:
\n
\n - Coordinate effectively with vendors, contractors, and clients.
\n - Prepare clear instructions for on-site teams.
\n - Conduct mandatory site visits to monitor progress and address challenges.
\n - Provide timely and clear updates to the Principal Designer.
\n
\n
D. Material Knowledge & Sourcing:
\n
\n - Stay updated on new materials and industry trends.
\n - Source and organize samples of new materials for project consideration.
\n
\n
E. Administrative & Project Management Support:
\n
\n - Communicate project timelines to clients, vendors, and contractors.
\n - Follow up to ensure adherence to project schedules.
\n - Document design change requests; communicate changes to site and contractors.
\n - Prepare detailed Minutes of Meeting (MOMs).
\n - Assist in obtaining client sign-offs for projects and revisions.
\n - Maintain project files and design libraries

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
\n
\n
A. Educational Background:
\n
\n - Bachelor’s diploma/degree in Interior Design, or an equivalent field.
\n
\n
B. Technical Expertise:
\n
\n - Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, and rendering software is a must.
\n - Working knowledge of MS Excel, Powerpoint etc.
\n
\n
C. Material Acumen:
\n
\n - Demonstrated understanding of material availability, characteristics, and finishes.
\n
\n
D. Soft Skills (Crucial for My Team):
\n
\n - Communication: Strong verbal and written communication in English and Hindi is mandatory. Kannada and Telugu are highly desirable.
\n - Professionalism: Punctual, polite, and maintains a pleasant attitude.
\n - Proactive & Problem-Solver: Self-driven, takes initiative, and possesses proven problem-solving
\n - abilities.
\n - Adaptability: Learns quickly and thrives in a dynamic freelance environment.

WORK EXPERIENCE NEEDED

\n - 3-5 years of experience in interior design including site-supervision and vendor interaction.
\n - A compelling portfolio showcasing diverse projects is essential.
