Job Description


PwC India is looking for experienced SAP Basis professionals to join its growing SAP practice across India. The candidate willbe responsible formanaging SAP landscapes, system administration, installations, upgrades, monitoring, performance tuning, and ensuring high availability of SAP systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform SAP Basis administration activities across SAP environments.
  
• Install, configure,monitor, andmaintainSAP systems including ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO, Solution Manager, and SAP HANA databases.
  
• Execute SAP kernel upgrades, support packs, system refreshes, client copies, and patch management.
  
• Manage transport managementsystem(TMS) andtroubleshoottransport-related issues.
  
• Monitor system performance andoptimizeSAP application and database performance.
  
• Handle user administration, role assignments, and security-related Basis activities.
  
• Support SAP system migrations, upgrades, and cloud transformation initiatives.
  
• Ensure backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures are implemented effectively.
  
• Work closely with functional, development, infrastructure, and client teams.
  
• Provide production support and resolve critical incidents within SLA timelines.
  
• Maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
  
  

Required Skills

• Strong experience in SAP Basis administration and support.
  
• Hands-on experience with SAP HANA database administration.
  
• Knowledge of SAP NetWeaver architecture and SAP landscape management.
  
• Experience in SAP system installation, upgrades, migrations, and patching.
  
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.
  
• Understanding ofhigh availability and disaster recovery concepts.
  
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is an added advantage.
  
• Good troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
  
• Strong communicationand stakeholder management abilities.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  
• SAP Basis/HANA certification preferred.
  
• Experience working in consulting or large enterprise environments is desirable.
