Gallagher Center of Excellence (GCoE) is seeking to hire a Bid/Proposal Specialist. As a Bid Specialist, you are responsible for supporting the Bid Manager/Director in managing the end-to-end bid process, focusing on both high-value strategic opportunities and low-cost bids within the insurance broking industry. This role requires strong expertise in proposal development, project management, stakeholder engagement, and business acumen to deliver compelling, compliant, and visually impactful proposals. You will be responsible for developing content strategies, producing high-quality bid responses, editing and designing proposal documents, and collaborating closely with the DIFC (Dubai International Financial Centre) team on a day-to-day basis. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong research and analytical capabilities to support bid development and risk underwriting initiatives. You will synthesize and interpret complex information to shape bid strategies, strengthen proposal content, identify new business opportunities, and develop tailored value propositions aligned with client requirements and service/product offerings. Success in this role will be measured by your ability to create persuasive proposal content, generate actionable business insights, and develop engaging pitch decks that improve win rates and contribute to business growth. Additionally, you will play a key role in fostering collaboration, continuous improvement, and a customer-centric culture within the shared services team. You will be interacting with Industry Practice teams in DIFC collaborating with subject matter experts and stakeholders to develop high-quality, client-focused bid and proposal responses. How you'll make an impact Bid Management & Support Assist the Bid Manager/Director in coordinating and managing bid activities. Plan and coordinate timelines for high-value and low-cost bids. Ensure all bid documentation is accurate, complete, compliant with client requirements, and submitted on time. Maintain and continuously enhance the Bid Library by updating reusable content, templates, case studies, and organizational collateral. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement Work closely with Bid Managers, Sales Teams, Industry Practice teams, and Subject Matter Experts in DIFC to gather information and develop winning proposals. Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus within the team. Engage with senior stakeholders through data-driven solutions and cross-functional collaboration. Content Development & Proposal Design Develop, tailor, and review compelling proposal responses, executive summaries, presentations, and pitch decks. Ensure content is clear, persuasive, client-focused, and aligned with brand guidelines, client requirements, and organizational standards. Support proposal document design and formatting to improve readability and visual impact. Project Management Manage multiple proposals and competing priorities simultaneously. Ensure timely completion of deliverables. Monitor progress, identify risks and dependencies, and implement mitigation plans to support successful bid outcomes. Scope project requirements to maintain alignment with client expectations and business objectives. Strategic Research & Business Insights Conduct market, industry, competitor, and client research to support bid strategies and business development initiatives. Analyze and synthesize information into actionable insights. Help leadership identify growth opportunities, client needs, and strategic positioning. Compliance Ensure all proposals meet client requirements, internal governance standards, and insurance industry compliance requirements. Support bid reviews to enhance submission quality. Quality Assurance Review, edit, and proofread proposal documents to ensure consistency, accuracy, clarity, and adherence to quality standards. Verify that all submissions are error-free, professionally presented, and aligned with organizational branding and messaging. COMPETENCIES Insurance Product Knowledge Comprehensive understanding of insurance products, services, risk solutions, and specialty lines. Ability to clearly articulate product features, benefits, differentiators, and value propositions in proposals and client presentations. Risk Management Insight Understanding of risk management principles and insurance solutions that help mitigate client risks.Ability to incorporate risk perspectives and client challenges into bid strategies and proposal responses. Market & Industry Awareness Knowledge of insurance market trends, emerging risks, competitor positioning, and industry developments. Ability to use market intelligence to strengthen proposal content and support strategic bid positioning. Proposal Writing & Editing Expertise Advanced writing, editing, proofreading, and content development skills. Ability to create compelling, persuasive, and client-focused proposal responses while maintaining consistency in tone, messaging, style, and brand standards. Proposal Design & Presentation Development Ability to develop visually engaging proposal documents, executive summaries, and pitch decks. Proficiency in formatting, information design, and presentation best practices to enhance proposal quality and readability. Customer Focus & Business Acumen Understanding of client needs, business challenges, and commercial drivers. Ability to develop client-centric solutions and compelling value propositions that support business growth and improve win rates. About you Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Insurance & Risk or a related field and minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience. Certificate(s)/Special Training: APMP Certification (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) Certified Professional Sales Person (CPSP) Training in analytics tools such as Power BI is beneficial. Project management certification (, PMP, Agile) is a plus. RMP (Risk Management Professional)Y Experience (Career Level Guide) Master’s degree in Finance, Insurance & Risk or a related field. 8+ years of experience in bid management, preferably within the financial services or insurance broking industry.
