Position: Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Infrastructure Engineer – Backup, Disaster Recovery & Virtualization with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in enterprise backup solutions, disaster recovery, virtualization, Windows infrastructure, and cloud platforms.
The ideal candidate should have practical experience managing Acronis Cyber Protect, VMware, Hyper-V, virtual machine backup and recovery, Windows Server administration, and Microsoft 365 environments. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, backup validation, disaster recovery testing, and infrastructure support to ensure business continuity and high system availability.
Candidates with experience in Acronis Backup, VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Azure, AWS, and enterprise storage technologies will be preferred
Key Responsibilities
Backup & Disaster Recovery
Install, configure, and administer Acronis Cyber Protect Backup solutions.
Configure backup policies for physical servers, virtual machines, endpoints, Microsoft 365, and cloud workloads.
Monitor daily backup jobs and proactively resolve backup failures.
Perform file-level, image-level, VM-level, application-aware, and bare-metal recovery.
Conduct periodic backup verification and restoration testing.
Plan and execute Disaster Recovery (DR) drills and failover testing.
Maintain Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO).
Configure backup retention policies and lifecycle management.
Manage backup repositories, storage optimization, compression, and deduplication.
Maintain disaster recovery documentation, SOPs, and recovery procedures.
Ensure backup infrastructure complies with organizational security standards.
Microsoft 365 Administration
Administer Microsoft 365 tenant and core services.
Manage Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
Create and manage users, groups, mailboxes, and Microsoft 365 licenses.
Configure Microsoft Entra ID users, authentication, and Conditional Access policies.
Support Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) implementation.
Assist in Microsoft Intune endpoint enrolment and device management.
Support Microsoft 365 backup and recovery where applicable.
Cloud Infrastructure
Support workloads hosted on AWS, and other cloud platforms.
Manage Ec2, S3, VPC, Snapshots, Security Groups, and Backup Services.
Configure cloud backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Support hybrid infrastructure environments.
Endpoint Management
Manage Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices using Microsoft Intune.
Configure BitLocker, Windows Update for Business, compliance policies, and endpoint security.
Deploy applications and security configurations.
Troubleshoot endpoint issues and monitor device health.
Infrastructure Monitoring
Monitor backup success rates, infrastructure availability, virtualization performance, storage utilization, CPU, memory, and network resources.
Perform proactive health checks and preventive maintenance.
Generate infrastructure and backup health reports.
Incident & Change Management
Troubleshoot infrastructure, virtualization, backup, storage, server, and cloud-related incidents.
Manage incidents using ITSM tools.
Handle escalations and coordinate with OEM vendors.
Participate in planned maintenance and change management activities.
Documentation
Prepare infrastructure documentation, backup architecture diagrams, and disaster recovery documentation.
Maintain SOPs, knowledge base articles, recovery procedures, and asset inventory.
Document backup policies, recovery workflows, and virtualization environments.

Educational Qualification
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
Experience
2–3 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, System Administration, Backup Administration, or Virtualization.
Hands-on experience with Acronis Cyber Protect Backup.
Experience performing backup, restore, disaster recovery, and failover testing.
Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
Experience with Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Entra ID.
Experience with AWS, or hybrid cloud infrastructure.
Experience using ITSM/Ticketing tools.
