About the Role

SDBI is seeking a Visiting Faculty member for Object Oriented Programming using Java to teach undergraduate students enrolled in the B.Sc. Data Science program.

The ideal candidate should possess strong industry experience in software development and be capable of connecting programming concepts with real-world application development practices.

Key Responsibilities- Teaching & Delivery

• Deliver engaging classroom lectures and hands-on coding sessions.
• Teach Java programming fundamentals and object-oriented design concepts.
• Conduct practical demonstrations and live coding exercises.
• Introduce software development best practices and coding standards.
• Use real-world examples and application-based learning techniques.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Industry certifications in Java or Software Development are an advantage.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Experience Requirements

• 3+ years of industry experience in Java Development or Software Engineering.
• Experience building enterprise or web-based applications using Java.
• Prior teaching, training, mentoring, or corporate learning experience.
• Experience guiding student or professional development projects.

Total Course Duration: 60 Hours

Mode: On-campus teaching in Mumbai (Patkar Varde College, Goregaon West)

Weekly Teaching Load: Approximately 4–6 hours
