Datagaps - Senior Java Developer - Spring Frameworks

Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer (3-8 years) to drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable enterprise-grade applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Messaging Systems, and exposure to Generative AI technologies including RAG frameworks and LLM integrations.

As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, defining technical architecture, ensuring engineering excellence, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to build high-performance products.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.

- Architect and implement Microservices-based solutions for enterprise products.

- Design secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using Spring Security, OAuth2, JWT, and SSO.

- Build event-driven architectures using Kafka and/or RabbitMQ.

- Develop and optimize batch processing solutions using Spring Batch.

- Drive adoption of AI/GenAI capabilities including LLM integrations, RAG architectures, vector databases, and prompt engineering best practices.

- Design and develop RESTful APIs and integration services.

- Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.

- Mentor and guide development teams through code reviews, design reviews, and best engineering practices.

- Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and DevOps teams to deliver business objectives.

- Participate in architecture discussions, estimation, sprint planning, and release management.

- Identify and resolve complex technical challenges and production issues.

Required Skills :

1. Core Technology :

- Strong experience in Java 8/11/17+

- Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Framework

- Hands-on experience with Spring Security, OAuth2, JWT, SSO

- Strong understanding of REST APIs and Microservices Architecture

- Experience with Spring Batch

2. Messaging & Distributed Systems :

- Hands-on experience with Kafka and RabbitMQ.

- Understanding of asynchronous communication and event-driven architecture.

3. AI / GenAI :

- Experience working with Generative AI applications, Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), LangChain / LlamaIndex, Vector Databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB, etc.), and AI-enabled enterprise applications.

4. Database :

- Strong SQL skills.

- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.

- Query optimization and performance tuning.

5. Software Engineering :

- Multithreading and Concurrency.

- Design Patterns and SOLID Principles.

- Data Structures & Algorithms.

- Low-Level and High-Level Design.

- Performance optimization and troubleshooting.
