This Position reports to:

R&D Global Unit Lead

Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ABB’s success with technology, software, product, and system development. Each day, you will identify and implement innovative solutions to relevant problems. You will also showcase your expertise by providing ideas and by being able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team.

The work model for the role is: #LI Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Process Automation business of Process control platform (PCP) Division in Bangalore location .

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Modular, reusable documentation components.
• Version-controlled documentation in Git. Production-ready Markdown content
• Published documentation - HTML and PDF and Release notes aligned with software releases
• Documentation quality reports and metrics and Documentation contribution guidelines. Information architecture and content models
• Documentation automation improvements . Continuous documentation health monitoring

Qualifications for the role:

• 6- 10 years of experience in Documentation Structured Authoring: DITA concepts, topic-based authoring, content reuse, conditional content
• Markdown-Advanced Markdown, front matter, reusable content patterns
• Version Control-Git, branching, pull requests, merge conflict resolution
• Docs-as-Code-Documentation repositories, versioning, review workflows
• CI/CD-Pipeline concepts, build validation, deployment workflows, troubleshooting
• Static Site Generators Docusaurus or similar Automation Documentation linting, link validation, build automation
• Quality Accessibility, style guides, metadata, content governance
• Agile -Scrum/SAFe participation, backlog refinement, documentation planning
