Job description

Location: Bangalore (Occasional travel to Madikeri/Coorg)

Position Overview

We are looking for a proactive and people-oriented HR Executive to support the company's day-to-day human resource activities across recruitment, employee onboarding, documentation, attendance & payroll, and employee engagement.

The role is for an individual who enjoys interacting with people, maintains confidentiality, and follows SOPs with discipline.

Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Onboarding

  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities including job postings, candidate sourcing, interview scheduling, follow-ups, and joining formalities.
  • Coordinate with department managers to understand hiring requirements and ensure timely closure of open positions.
  • Conduct employee onboarding, induction, and orientation to help new employees settle into the organization.

Employee Documentation

  • Prepare offer and appointment letters, and maintain all employment records and HR-related documents accurately and on time.
  • Maintain employee documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Attendance, Leave & Payroll

  • Track employee attendance and leave records, maintain related HR data, and prepare monthly payroll inputs.
  • Support statutory compliance activities as needed.

Employee Engagement

  • Assist in implementing employee engagement initiatives, training programmes, and company events.
  • Coordinate probation reviews, performance reviews (PIP), and exit formalities.

HR Operations & Reporting

  • Maintain HR trackers, MIS, and recruitment reports, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Support overall HR operations by coordinating with internal stakeholders and ensuring smooth execution of HR processes.

Travel Requirement

Terrain Estates also operates a resort in Madikeri (Coorg). The role will require occasional travel to support HR activities and engage with employees at the resort.

Candidate Requirements

  • Pleasant and well-groomed, professionally smart personality to be able to interact with all types of employees.
  • Good communication skills (spoken and written); prompt in responding.
  • Demonstrates discipline, professionalism, and a positive attitude in day-to-day work.
  • Good planning, coordination, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with maturity and integrity.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Exposure to HRMS.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or MBA in HR.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HR; well versed in Recruitment & Payroll data preparation.
  • Preferred industry experience: Real Estate, Hospitality, Non-IT SMEs.
  • Languages: Kannada and English are mandatory; Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu will be an advantage.
