Job Title: SAP ABAP Consultant

Location: Mumbai / Pune / Bangalore

Experience: 5–10 Years

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant with 5–10 years of hands-on experience in SAP development. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in ABAP programming, custom development, and SAP technical enhancements, along with mandatory implementation experience. The candidate should be capable of delivering high-quality technical solutions and collaborating effectively with functional teams across multiple SAP modules.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain SAP ABAP programs based on business requirements.
• Develop and enhance Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflow (RICEF) objects.
• Create and maintain Data Dictionary objects, ALV Reports, Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, Adobe Forms, BDC, BAPI, RFC, IDocs, and User Exits/BADIs.
• Work closely with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms with optimal performance.
• Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for production issues.
• Participate in unit testing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Prepare technical specifications, design documents, and code documentation.
• Ensure adherence to SAP development standards and best practices.

Required Skills

• 5–10 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Strong expertise in:
• Reports (Classical, Interactive, ALV)
• Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, Adobe Forms
• BDC, BAPI, RFC, IDocs
• Enhancements (User Exits, Customer Exits, BADIs, Enhancement Framework)
• Data Dictionary Objects
• Module Pool Programming
• Object-Oriented ABAP
• Experience in performance tuning and debugging of ABAP programs.
• Good understanding of SAP integration with modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, and HCM.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Mandatory Requirement

• Hands-on experience in at least one end-to-end SAP Implementation project is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in SAP S/4HANA ABAP (CDS Views, AMDP, OData Services, RAP/Fiori integration) is an added advantage.
• SAP ABAP Certification is preferred.
• Experience in Agile project environments is desirable.
