About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Associate - Custody & Capital Markets to join our team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in custody operations, capital markets, Demat account opening, and KYC processes, particularly for Non-Resident clients. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage custody and capital market operations in compliance with regulatory and organizational guidelines.
• Handle Demat account opening and maintenance processes for Non-Resident clients.
• Perform KYC verification and documentation review to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Coordinate with internal teams, depositories, custodians, and stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction processing.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare operational reports using Microsoft Excel.
• Monitor and resolve operational discrepancies within defined timelines.
• Support client queries related to custody and capital market services.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, compliance requirements, and service-level agreements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1–4 years of experience in Custody Operations and/or Capital Markets.
• Experience in Demat Account Opening and KYC processes, particularly for Non-Resident clients.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in the Banking, Custody Services, Wealth Management, or Financial Services industry will be preferred.
• NISM Certification will be an added advantage.
• Exposure to depository operations, securities processing, or capital market transactions is desirable.
