What you will do as a Blue Planet Professional Services Business Analyst Manager?
Your primary activities will include :
Interact with both internal and external customers / partners to establish and meet their applications system development needs
Assist in the identification, evaluation, selection, and implementation and extension of package applications, SW libraries, application toolkits and full software life cycle tools
Provide encrypted data and database design (SQL Server) expertise and coordinate with existing data owners and IT DBAs
Mentor team developers in all aspects of software development
Self-starter with the ability to work closely with the functional departments, and comfortable taking ownership of the work in an agile environment
Provide thought leadership and guidance on issues, action items, assumptions, questions, requirements and items requiring follow up
Review and approve Blue Planet Methods design and development solution documents, internal and external test strategies, plans and scripts
Support advanced solution design and configuration activities.
Document various business processes with flowcharts, manuals and other documentation outlining current client’s practices.
Map current client’s practices to Blue Planet feature and function fit
Identify functionality gaps on client projects and options to close them
Responsible for targeting completion of process mapping workstreams within a specified timeframe while achieving a cost reduction / process efficiency goal.
Provide management with project status updates, feedback, and appropriate reporting on key responsibilities and objectives. Preparation of monthly project scorecard reports.
Required Skills and Experience :
A BS or BA in related field.
Candidate must have Telcom, OSS, Inventory, COTS product (Cramer / Granite) domain experience.
6 - 10+ years overall experience in functional and / or technical lead role.
Five years’ experience in multi-dimensional process related function.
Possess a minimum of 5 years of communications related industry(s) operational experience and / or implementing OSS projects within those markets.
Ability to travel as required.
Desired Skills :
Must have computer proficiency and be well versed in MS Office - Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio and Business Process Management tools.
Proven experience in process mapping and improvement identification, leading small scale workstreams with a record of successful adoption of the process.
Understand applied business practices in more than one of the following : Telecommunications, Broadband, Communications.
Possess Blue Planet Product technology knowledge as well as industry and business process knowledge : Telecommunications, Broadband, Communications, planning, pricing, etc.
