Role Description :
Seeking an ambitious and results-driven Sales and Business Development Directorto spearhead growth within our critical Aerospace and Defense composites markets in India and internationally. This leadership role is pivotal for driving revenue expansion, securing long-term customer programs, and strengthening relationships with key clients in India and abroad. This role involves defining Axor's go-to-market & partnership strategy, managing contract negotiations, & identifying emerging opportunities in advanced materials and composites. This role also involves extensive travel internationally (US, Europe) and domestically to meet strategic sales objectives.
Qualifications :
- Education : Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
- Experience : Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in sales, business development, or account management, with at least 5 years in a senior or director-level role within the Aerospace and Defence sector.
- Domain Expertise : Mandatory and deep experience selling composite or advanced material manufacturing solutions to A&D OEMs / Tier 1 suppliers.
- Customer Exposure : Proven track record of successfully securing large, multi-year contracts with both Indian (e.g., MoD programs) and major US-based A&D customers.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Sales & Growth Leadership : Develop and execute sales and business development strategies to expand A&D composites revenue across Indian & global prime contractor markets. Drive new long-term contracts for composite parts and assemblies while leading and mentoring the sales team to maintain a robust opportunity pipeline through effective CRM management.Customer Relationship Management : Serve as the senior relationship owner for key customers to build trusted partnerships. Understand complex customer requirements and market trends to effectively position technical offerings. Lead complex negotiations and long-term agreements (LTAs).Market Expansion & Intelligence : Identify and pursue new geographic and technological opportunities through continuous market analysis. Collaborate with Engineering and R&D to define product roadmaps and ensure export compliance (ITAR, EAR, SCOM).Commercial Integration & Quoting : Lead full business acquisition cycle, from lead generation and RFQ response to contract signing and program handoff. Work with departments to deliver proposals aligned with A&D cost structures and program requirements.Skills & Competencies :
