Job Summary :

We are seeking an exceptional and visionary Vice President of Engineering to lead our dynamic team in Chennai through a period of significant growth and technological advancement.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in engineering roles, with at least 4 years in an engineering leadership position.

This role is crucial for translating business strategy into engineering outcomes and championing a culture of innovation, with a core focus on AI and technological excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

• Translate the CEO's vision and business strategy into a tangible technology roadmap, focusing on innovation, scalability, and long-term impact.
• Champion a culture of engineering excellence by balancing speed and quality, with clear communication around technical debt and ROI.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities to leverage AI / ML across the product and services spectrum, from workflow automation to content enrichment.
• Partner with the CTO and Product teams to ensure the responsible, scalable, and measurable adoption of AI capabilities.
• Ensure the reliable, timely, and high-quality delivery of all engineering projects.
• Lead the adoption of DevOps, CI / CD, and quality automation best practices to improve release velocity and reduce downtime.
• Implement and track engineering KPIs aligned with business OKRs to measure and report on what matters.
• Build and grow a high-performance, psychologically safe engineering organization.
• Mentor and support the career development of engineering managers, ensuring a healthy succession pipeline.
• Develop scalable systems for hiring, onboarding, promotions, knowledge sharing, and performance management.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Customer Success, and Business teams to align priorities and dependencies.
• Own and optimize engineering budgets, vendor decisions, and cost-performance ratios across cloud infrastructure and toolsets.
• Regularly report to the leadership team and board on engineering health, strategy progress, and resourcing needs.
