About the Role:

We are looking for a Finance Lead to manage the accounting, taxation, audit, and compliance functions for TIFIN's US entities. This role will be based out of our Mumbai office and will work closely with finance teams in the US.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in US accounting, financial reporting, taxation, audits, and compliance, with the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and drive finance operations with accuracy and ownership.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting:

- Manage end-to-end accounting for US entities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and month-end close.

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.

- Ensure accuracy of the general ledger and maintain strong financial controls.

- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and management reporting.

- Support budgeting, forecasting, MIS reporting, and business performance analysis.

2. Taxation & Compliance:

- Coordinate US federal, state, and local tax compliance activities.

- Partner with external tax consultants for preparation and review of tax filings.

- Support corporate tax, sales tax, payroll tax, and other statutory compliance requirements.

- Monitor regulatory updates and assess their impact on finance operations.

3. Audit & Internal Controls:

- Coordinate external and internal audits.

- Prepare audit schedules, supporting documentation, and respond to auditor queries.

- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and SOX requirements where applicable.

- Identify opportunities for process improvements and finance automation.

4. Business Partnership:

- Work closely with Finance, HR, Legal, Payroll, and Operations teams across India and the US.

- Support leadership with financial insights, reporting, and business analysis.

- Participate in due diligence, strategic finance initiatives, and cross-functional projects.

What We're Looking For:

- CA / CPA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.

- 510 years of experience in Accounting, Audit, Taxation, and Financial Reporting.

- Strong understanding of US GAAP and US finance operations.

- Experience managing accounting for US entities in a multinational, GCC, shared services, or global finance environment.

- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.

- Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

- Willingness to work with overlapping US business hours when required.

Preferred Experience:

- Exposure to US taxation and regulatory compliance.

- Experience supporting SOX compliance and internal control frameworks.

- Experience working with global finance teams across multiple legal entities.

- Prior experience in the FinTech, SaaS, or technology industry is an added advantage.
