System Engineer - Payment Domain

Role Overview :

As a System Engineer in the Payments domain, you will serve as a technical anchor for mission-critical transaction processing environments. Your day-to-day involves designing, maintaining, and optimizing complex payment architectures, ensuring high availability and seamless transaction flow for our global client base. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams, product managers, and external stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. By maintaining the integrity of our payment ecosystem, you directly influence the reliability of financial services for millions of users, ensuring that every transaction is processed securely, efficiently, and at scale.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and deploy scalable payment solutions to ensure high-performance transaction processing for enterprise clients.

- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of ACI products, including configuration, customization, and troubleshooting to meet evolving business demands.

- Lead the migration and maintenance of BASE24 environments to optimize system throughput and reduce latency in payment authorization.

- Configure ACI Issuer modules to support diverse card schemes and digital payment methods, ensuring compliance with global financial standards.

- Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to implement rigorous system upgrades and patches, minimizing downtime and mitigating operational risks.

- Provide expert-level technical guidance to internal teams during complex incident resolution to maintain service level agreements and customer trust.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in designing and managing complex payment architectures within the financial services industry.

- Hands-on proficiency in ACI products and BASE24 systems, with a proven track record of managing large-scale issuer environments.

- Strong analytical capabilities to troubleshoot intricate payment flows and resolve performance bottlenecks in real-time.

- Excellent communication skills to effectively bridge the gap between technical requirements and business objectives when interacting with stakeholders.

- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, hybrid work environment across our Bangalore and Hyderabad offices, maintaining high productivity in distributed teams.

- A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, complemented by 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in the payments domain.
