We are looking for SAP Ariba Leads/Architect for a long-term project with TECHWAVE in Hyderabad-India. Please go through the below job specs and let me know your thoughts.

SAP Ariba Implementation Consultants lead the deployment of SAP Ariba solutions for procurement processes, focusing on configuration, integration with ERP systems like S/4HANA or ECC, and full-cycle project delivery. They typically require 5-10+ years of experience, including hands-on Ariba projects in modules like Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Sourcing, Contracts, and Supply Chain Collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Professionals gather business requirements through workshops, design solutions using Agile or ASAP methodologies, and configure Ariba applications such as SIPM, Guided Buying, Invoice Management, and Network integrations. They handle blueprinting, gap analysis, testing (unit, SIT, UAT), cutover activities, go-live support, and post-implementation enhancements like release assessments. Integration tasks involve SAP PI/PO, CIG, CPI, or direct connectivity for master/transactional data with backend systems.

Required Experience

Candidates need proven leadership in 2+ full-cycle Ariba implementations, strong SAP MM/SRM background, and familiarity with S/4HANA procurement. Additional expertise covers upstream (Sourcing, Contracts, Spend Visibility) and downstream (P2P, Catalog) capabilities, plus cross-module integrations.

• Deep functional knowledge of:
• Ariba Guided Buying setup: policies, approval workflows, and user roles.
• Buying & Invoicing configuration: requisitions, purchase orders, receipts, and invoice automation.
• Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process understanding (both SAP and Ariba side).
• Supplier collaboration via Business Network (PO & Invoice collaboration flows).
• Experience in Ariba realm configuration, approval rule definition, and localization settings (e.g., taxes, currencies, languages). Experience of having implemented for Taiwan and Japan would be added advantage. If not, should have worked on implementing for International entities covering Taxation and currencies.
• Knowledge of catalog management (punchout/hosted) and procurement channel configuration.
• Familiarity with Ariba Network Supplier Enablement activities and best practices.
• knowledge of Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance (SLP) for onboarding suppliers, approval and supplier management

Core Module Proficiency

Consultants must master SAP Ariba modules including Strategic Sourcing, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Contracts, Supplier Lifecycle Performance (SLP), and Supply Chain Collaboration. Key capabilities cover Guided Buying, Invoice Management, Catalog Management, and Spend Visibility for full upstream/downstream processes.

Integration Expertise

Essential skills include SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG), SAP Process Orchestration (PI/PO), Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), and direct API connectivity for master/transactional data sync. Proficiency in integrating with SAP MM, SRM, ECC, or S/4HANA procurement modules is critical.

Configuration and Tools

Hands-on with Ariba Administrator console, workspace configurations, approval workflows, and analytics dashboards. Skills in data migration, RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms), and release upgrades are mandator

Essential Skills

• SAP Ariba certifications - SAP Ariba Procurement, Sourcing, or Implementation.
• Proficiency in functional/technical specs, data migration, and supplier management.
• Soft skills like stakeholder communication, team leadership, and problem-solving.

Qualifications & Details

Education: Any Bachelor's in IT

SAP Ariba certifications.

Experience: 10+ years SAP consulting, 8+ years Ariba; full project cycles.

Technical: Ariba modules (P2P, Sourcing, Network), integrations (CIG, PI/PO), S/4HANA MM.

Methodologies: Agile/ASAP, testing, training, change management

Location: Hyderabad (Nanakramguda) - Hybrid (3 days/Week)
