Program Manager/Grant Management Specialist

Job Description Job Title: Program Manager Reports To : Senior Program Manager Salary Range: Salary will be commensurate with experience and profile, as per industry standards Based at: Bangalore, Karnataka Description : The Program Manager will play a central role in the developing Program strategy for Ashraya Hastha Trust, lead end to end grant management within the assigned Program and be responsible for networking and partnerships for the organization. Key Responsibilities 1. Grant Management Lead the end-to-end grant cycle, including sourcing, assessment, selection, and project design. Ensure proposed programmes are contextually grounded, financially viable, and capable of achieving scalable impact. Oversee grant processing, fund disbursement, and compliance requirements. Support and handhold new partners through the grant application and onboarding process. Monitor and review grant-level progress against agreed indicators on a regular basis. Manage renewals of partner agreements and address partner account-related matters in a timely manner. 2. External Engagement and Partnerships Develop and manage relationships with key external stakeholders, including civil society organisations, funders, and sector experts. Lead assessment and selection of strategic partnership opportunities. Represent Ashraya Hastha Trust at conferences, forums, and sector events to strengthen networks and generate potential collaborations. 3. Program Strategy and Planning Deliver on Program -level strategies aligned with the Trust’s priorities. Identify and facilitate support of exceptional program delivery models that address system issues and allied vulnerabilities. Prepare rolling and annual work plans for focus areas Undertake budgeting and forecasting for grantee projects and related initiatives. Scan the broader ecosystem to identify emerging trends, gaps, and opportunities. Conceptualise new ideas and initiatives relevant to priority sectors. Contribute to organisational learning by building, structuring, and sharing knowledge internally. Actively support innovation and long-term growth of thematic priorities and the institution as a whole. Candidate profile: Qualifications Postgraduate degree in Social Work, Management, or a related discipline (MSW or equivalent) from a recognised institution in India or abroad. Experience Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 2 years of experience in grant making and management. Experience in the social sector is a must-have. Skills and Capabilities Strong alignment with the values, vision, and mission of Ashraya Hastha Trust. Demonstrated commitment to social and environmental causes. Experience in programme or project design and implementation. Sound financial and budget management skills, including analysis and reporting. Ability to provide intellectual leadership in partnerships and resource mobilisation. Proven experience managing development programmes or projects. Clear and effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
