Cyber Security Head - Engineering & Operations

Role Overview:

As the Head of Cybersecurity Engineering & Operations, you will serve as a strategic leader responsible for architecting and managing the enterprise-wide security posture. You will oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of security operations, from threat detection and incident response to the deployment of robust engineering solutions that safeguard our digital infrastructure.

This role involves close collaboration with the C-suite, global stakeholders, and cross-functional technology teams to align security initiatives with business objectives. By fostering a culture of proactive risk management, you will directly influence the resilience of our systems, ensuring that our customers' data remains protected against an evolving landscape of sophisticated cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities :

- Direct the design and implementation of advanced security engineering frameworks to ensure the integrity and availability of global IT assets.

- Lead the Security Operations Center (SOC) and incident response teams to minimize downtime and mitigate risks during active security breaches.

- Partner with executive leadership to define and execute a comprehensive IT Governance and risk management strategy that supports organizational growth.

- Oversee the deployment of enterprise-wide Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions to ensure secure, seamless authentication across all platforms.

- Manage complex Network Security architectures, ensuring that perimeter and internal defenses are optimized against emerging vulnerabilities.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by conducting regular security audits and translating findings into actionable technical roadmaps for engineering teams.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in leading large-scale cybersecurity transformations, with a proven ability to manage complex, multi-layered security environments.

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate technical security risks into business-centric language for board-level reporting and stakeholder alignment.

- Strong proficiency in IT Risk Management frameworks and regulatory compliance standards, ensuring the organization meets global security benchmarks.

- Proven track record of mentoring high-performing engineering teams and fostering a collaborative environment that encourages technical innovation.

- Ability to thrive in a high-stakes, hybrid work environment based in Chennai, balancing hands-on technical oversight with high-level strategic planning.

- A Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is preferred, complemented by industry-standard certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA.

- 15 - 27 years of experience in cybersecurity leadership roles, demonstrating a consistent history of protecting enterprise-scale infrastructure.
