Regional Head - Business Development (CDMO Services)

Role Summary:

Business Development lead and will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and securing new business opportunities for our drug substance (DS) and drug product (DP) development and manufacturing services. This role bridges the gap between pharmaceutical innovators and our internal technical operations, driving revenue growth across preclincal, clinical, and commercial phases deliverables expected from Incumbent.

Job Description:

• Pipeline Generation: Actively prospect and build a robust pipeline of pharma and biotech clients matching our technical capabilities (e.g., small molecules, peptides, sterile fill-finish etc.).

• RFP & Proposal Management: Lead the end-to-end Request for Proposal (RFP) process, collaborating closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Project Management, and Estimating teams to deliver winning, technically sound proposals.

• Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary commercial point of contact, managing client expectations from initial contact through to Contract/MSA execution and tech transfer handover.

• Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging biotech funding cycles to target high-potential accounts.

Qualifications & Experience:

Qualification: B Pharma/M Pharma/Science (MBA in International business/Operations preferred)

Experience:

Minimum 10-15 years of experience within the pharmaceutical sales environment, preferably with a proven track record in a commercial or technical client-facing role.

Mandatory Skills:

• Technical Literacy: Broad understanding of drug development pathways, GMP regulations, and CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls) requirements.

• Skills: Proficiency in English language, skills in negotiation, contract structuring, and presentation skills.
