Your Impact

As a Backend Node.js Developer, you will play a key role in building and scaling high-performance backend systems that power mission-critical applications. You will design robust APIs, develop microservices, and contribute to architecture decisions that enhance system reliability, scalability, and security. Working in a collaborative environment, you will help deliver innovative solutions while driving engineering excellence through best practices, code quality, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and cross-functional teams to deliver business-critical solutions.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability for high-traffic environments.
• Implement secure coding practices and ensure data protection standards are met.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive root-cause analysis.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and support knowledge sharing across the team.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to the technology stack.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience building backend applications with Node.js.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and modern backend development practices.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with messaging and streaming technologies such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Proficiency with databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Aerospike or similar high-performance databases.
• Experience with Git-based version control and collaborative development workflows.
• Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools such as New Relic.
• Experience building highly scalable, high-availability systems in production environments.
• Knowledge of performance tuning and system optimization techniques.
