Microsoft Specialization
- Provide architectural leadership across all five WAF pillars — Reliability, Security, Cost Optimization, Operational Excellence, Performance Efficiency — for Microsoft Specializations.
- Lead the Azure Well-Architected Review (WAR) using the Microsoft Core WAR tool and export required pillar evidence across engagements.
- Build the control-by-control evidence index and lead the audit-day 'talking track'; support the mock audit and drive remediation ahead of the final audit.
Microsoft AI practice & co-solutions
- Own and grow Genzeon's Microsoft AI architecture practice, defining reference architectures, patterns, and standards for AI workloads on Azure.
- Design and develop Microsoft-based AI co-solutions (Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services / Foundry, Azure Machine Learning, agentic and RAG-based solutions), including productized/repeatable offerings suitable for co-sell and Microsoft marketplace.
- Engage with Microsoft partner, co-sell, and specialization teams to align Genzeon's roadmap with Microsoft's AI priorities and unlock partnership benefits.
- Lead Genzeon through future Microsoft Specialization and designation audits, building reusable evidence frameworks and reducing preparation effort over time.
- Embed Responsible AI and healthcare compliance (HIPAA/PHI, BAA, data residency) into solution designs by default.
- Mentor and upskill architects and engineers on WAF and Azure AI, raising the organization's overall capability.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to sales and delivery on Azure AI opportunities, effort estimation, and solution feasibility.
Requirements
Required skills and experience
- 12–16 years in IT, including substantial recent experience as a Solutions / Cloud Architect on production Azure workloads, with a clear focus on AI/ML solutions.
- Expert, hands-on knowledge of the Azure Well-Architected Framework and proven experience running Well-Architected Reviews. (This role remains hands-on — depth in design and documentation is as important as leadership.)
- Deep expertise across the Azure AI stack: Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services / AI Foundry, Azure Machine Learning, plus App Service, Azure databases, Key Vault, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Monitor / Application Insights, and IaC (Bicep / Terraform).
- Demonstrated design experience across all five WAF pillars in production (HA/DR, Zero Trust security, cost governance, CI/CD & observability, autoscale/caching/performance).
- Experience defining reference architectures and building repeatable/productized solutions, ideally in a partner or co-sell context.
- Strong technical writing and executive communication skills; able to present to auditors, customers, and Microsoft partner teams.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams.
Benefits
Highly desirable
- Prior experience preparing for or passing Microsoft Solutions Partner Specialization audits (AI Apps, Analytics, or similar), ideally with ISSI, and familiarity with Microsoft Partner Center specialization/ACR requirements.
- Experience with the Microsoft co-sell / marketplace motion and partner GTM.
- Relevant certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) and Azure AI Engineer (AI-102); plus any of AZ-104, AZ-400, or DP-100.
- Experience in regulated / healthcare environments (HIPAA, PHI, Responsible AI governance).
