Prepare HVAC system designs, load calculations, duct layouts, and equipment sizing based on project requirements.
Monitor installation of chillers, AHUs, FCUs, ducting, and piping to ensure compliance with IS codes and project specifications.
Inspect HVAC equipment and materials, verify certifications, and ensure adherence to standards.
Enforce safety protocols during HVAC installation, including confined space and work-at-height practices.
Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning of HVAC systems, including airflow balancing and performance testing.
Liaise with civil engineers, architects, and electrical teams to integrate HVAC systems seamlessly into building design.
Prepare daily progress reports, inspection records, and handover documentation.
Integrate energy-efficient solutions such as VRF systems, solar-assisted cooling, and green building practices.
Monitor HVAC budgets, track material usage, and recommend cost-saving measures.
Suggest innovations in HVAC design and installation methods for efficiency and sustainability.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering / HVAC specialization.
Minimum 10+ years experience in HVAC design and site supervision for construction projects in India.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP (Hourly Analysis Program), and MS Project/Primavera.
Strong knowledge of Indian building codes, IS standards, and Kerala State regulations.
Ability to manage teams and coordinate multi-disciplinary projects.
Effective communication and reporting skills.
