Position: Primary Teacher (PRT) – Social Science (Grades III–V) Institute: Navodaya Central School Location: Raichur Karnataka Job Role: The Primary Teacher (PRT) – Social Science is responsible for teaching Social Science subjects to primary school students, fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a strong understanding of society, history, geography, and civic values. The teacher will create an engaging and inclusive learning environment, implement age-appropriate teaching methodologies, assess student progress, and contribute to the overall academic and personal development of students. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and deliver engaging Social Science/EVS lessons as per the CBSE curriculum. - Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, and teaching-learning materials. - Conduct assessments, evaluate student progress, and provide remedial support where required. - Maintain discipline and create a positive, inclusive classroom environment. - Encourage activity-based, experiential, and ICT-enabled learning. - Organize projects, quizzes, exhibitions, and educational activities. - Maintain academic records, attendance, and assessment documentation. - Participate in PTMs, staff meetings, training programmes, and school events. - Perform other academic and administrative duties assigned by the school. Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in a relevant subject. - D.El.Ed. or B.Ed. from a recognized institution. - CTET/TET qualification preferred. Skills: - Strong subject knowledge. - Good communication and classroom management. - Proficiency in ICT and activity-based teaching. - Teamwork, professionalism, and commitment to student development.
