ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Wiring harness routing in UGNX, Electrical Harness workbench

• Review layouts of wiring harness in DMU and define routing and clamping strategy

• Understanding of functioning of various control systems, ECUs, Electrical- Electronic functions

inside the Passenger cars

• Electrical Packaging of EE Aggregates in DMU

• Technical expertise in Wiring Harness design, Connector, electrification, DMU, packaging, and

related Engineering requirements.

• Sheet metal/ Plastic support bracket design

• Implementing the Changes as per ECN

• Basic Understanding of Product development process & Project timelines

• Design & Development of Components of Wiring Harness

• Develop fixing strategy and features aligned to the design guidelines

• Bill-Of-Materials and assembly instructions for the harness

• Generate package feasibility reports

• Know-how of vehicle Schematics development.

• Interact within team for integrated solution to meeting customer quality and timeline expectations

• Participate in internal and customer reviews for meeting customer expectations and guidelines

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES & EXPERIENCE

• Experience in OEM wiring harness design process, vehicle harness development, VAVE Activities,

Harness weight reduction, cost optimization role.

• Awareness of future technological advancement in Wiring Harness development such as Battery,

High Voltage will be an added advantage.

• Strong in technical Decision-making.

• Global project experience is an added advantage

• Strong inter-personal skills to work effectively with Suppliers & cross functional teams across the

globe.

• Good understanding of design regulations standards, Connector, and terminal selection for Indian

and international markets

• CAD tools - Unigraphics NX, L-Dorado, E3-Cable, PREE Vision

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors in mechanical engineering /electrical engineering or equivalent from reputed Institution /

University PREFERRED SKILLS

Software –UGNX, Electrical Workbench, Team Centre, and MS Office proficiency
