Requirements :

- Mainframe Batch (TWS/JCL operator) deep experience

- Mainframe zOS infrastructure deep knowledge, ex. IMS, DB2/DL-1, MQ, UC4

- Cobol development

- Agile ways of working

- Expert experience in Mainframe infrastructure area in order to uplift quality and maintain operational stability in all Nordeas Mainframe test for a proactive quick learner, a humble team player with communicative skills who possess :

- Mainframe Batch (TWS/JCL operator) deep experience

- Mainframe infrastructure deep knowledge, ex. IMS, DB2/DL-1, MQ, UC4, RACF

- Vast experience in various Mainframe error investigations, mainly of infrastructure kind incl TWS (Batch), DB (DL/1 & DB2), IMS, MQ, UC4, Parameter optimizations etc.

- Proactively support Nordea keeping stable and robust test environments by end-to-end understanding of mainframe landscape.

- Error solving of different kinds, mainly batch abends but also online related issues.

- Making sure test environments are up and running every day.

- Should be able to assist in various demands, ex. Running batch on demand, adding relevant test data, analysis needs, performance improvements, change of daily plans, illustrate dependencies and ability to speficy changes/work orders for Kyndryl/IBM

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage and support Mainframe test environments to ensure high availability, stability, and operational excellence.

- Perform Mainframe Batch Operations using TWS, JCL, and related scheduling tools.

- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related incidents, batch abends, and online application issues.

- Conduct root cause analysis and provide permanent solutions for recurring system issues.

- Monitor and maintain Mainframe components including IMS, DB2, DL/I, MQ, UC4, and RACF.

- Support test teams by executing batch jobs on demand and ensuring successful job completion.

- Analyze system performance and recommend optimizations for improved efficiency and stability.

- Maintain test data and support test execution activities across multiple environments.

- Collaborate with development, testing, and infrastructure teams in an Agile environment.

- Identify dependencies, document system interactions, and assist in change planning activities.

- Coordinate with external vendors and support teams (e.g., IBM, Kyndryl) for infrastructure changes and issue resolution.

- Ensure daily operational readiness of Mainframe test environments and proactively address risks.
