Information Technology Infrastructure Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage robust IT infrastructure environments for mission-critical government applications.
• Establish and maintain highly available and fault-tolerant infrastructure architecture.
• Plan, implement, and manage Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity solutions.
• Design and support Data Centre (DC) and Disaster Recovery Centre (DRC) infrastructure.
• Manage virtualization platforms, server clustering, storage systems, backup solutions, and network services.
• Monitor system performance, utilization, availability, and capacity to ensure optimal operations.
• Implement infrastructure security controls aligned with industry standards and government guidelines.
• Support infrastructure audits, compliance assessments, vulnerability management, and risk mitigation activities.
• Coordinate with application, database, security, and network teams for seamless infrastructure operations.
• Review infrastructure architecture and recommend modernization, optimization, and scalability improvements.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation, SOPs, network diagrams, DR plans, and operational reports.
• Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), security policies, and governance frameworks.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 8 years of experience in IT Infrastructure planning, deployment, and management.
• Experience in large-scale Government IT/e-Governance projects, including at least one IFMS (Integrated Financial Management System) project.
• Proven experience in establishing and managing:
• Data Centres (DC)
• Disaster Recovery Centres (DRC)
• Virtualization Platforms
• High Availability (HA) and Clustering Solutions
• Enterprise Network Infrastructure
• Backup and Recovery Systems
• Strong understanding of:
• Infrastructure Architecture
• Network Management
• Server Administration
• Disaster Recovery Planning
• Business Continuity Management
• Information Security
• Infrastructure Monitoring Tools
• Experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments will be an added advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
