Infrastructure Developer - AI Platform Operations

Role Overview :

As an Infrastructure Developer for our AI Platform Operations team in Hyderabad, you will serve as the backbone of our machine learning ecosystem. You will be responsible for architecting, deploying, and scaling the underlying infrastructure that powers our high-performance AI models. Working closely with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Security architects, you will ensure that our platform remains resilient, secure, and highly available. Your work directly impacts the speed and reliability of our AI-driven products, enabling the business to deliver seamless, real-time insights to our global customer base while maintaining a robust security posture.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and maintain scalable AI infrastructure on GCP to ensure high availability and performance for compute-intensive machine learning workloads.

- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform to accelerate deployment cycles and ensure environment consistency across development and production.

- Orchestrate containerized AI applications using Kubernetes to optimize resource utilization and streamline the deployment of complex model pipelines.

- Implement comprehensive monitoring and logging solutions using the ELK stack to provide real-time observability into platform health and performance metrics.

- Integrate DevSecOps practices into the CI/CD pipeline by leveraging GHAS, Sonarqube, and Aquasec to proactively identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the developer experience and platform UX, ensuring that internal users can interact with infrastructure tools efficiently.

- Establish automated security guardrails and compliance checks to maintain a hardened infrastructure environment without hindering development velocity.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale cloud infrastructure on GCP, with a deep understanding of cloud-native networking, storage, and compute services.

- Proven ability to write clean, modular Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to manage complex multi-environment setups.

- Strong proficiency in container orchestration and management using Kubernetes, including cluster scaling, security, and performance tuning.

- Hands-on experience in building secure CI/CD pipelines, utilizing tools like GHAS, Sonarqube, and Aquasec to enforce security standards throughout the software development lifecycle.

- Exceptional analytical skills to troubleshoot complex distributed systems and resolve performance bottlenecks within the ELK stack.

- Ability to communicate technical architectural decisions clearly to both engineering peers and non-technical stakeholders, fostering a culture of collaboration and transparency.

- A proactive mindset toward platform UX, with the ability to design intuitive interfaces or workflows that simplify infrastructure consumption for data science teams.

- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field, complemented by 5 - 15 years of relevant experience in platform engineering or SRE roles.
