Roles of a Picker

• Order Fulfillment: Locate and pick items from shelves or storage areas based on order lists or digital systems.
• Inventory Handling: Ensure correct items and quantities are picked.
• Packing Support: Sometimes assist in packing items for shipment.
• Stock Organization: Help maintain orderly storage areas for easy access.
• Use of Equipment: Operate tools like handheld scanners, forklifts, or pallet jacks.
  
  

Responsibilities of a Picker

• Accuracy: Pick the right products, quantities, and quality as per the order.
• Speed & Efficiency: Complete picking tasks within deadlines to meet delivery schedules.
• Safety Compliance: Follow safety rules while handling goods and equipment.
• Inventory Checks: Report damaged or missing items and help with stock counts.
• Labeling & Documentation: Ensure items are properly labeled and recorded in the system.
• Clean Work Area: Keep the picking area neat and organized.
• Team Coordination: Work closely with packers, supervisors, and other warehouse staff.
