Role Description
The Executive – Finance and Accounts is a full-time, on-site role based at Thoraipakkam, Chennai.
This role is responsible for
All controllership activities, including bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, invoice processing, reconciliation of accounts, account closing, and providing audited accounts to stakeholders on time.
Compliance : Ensuring timely payment and filing of returns related to Income Tax (IT), GST, and other statutory remittances, and providing periodic compliance/audit reports related to statutory payments
Financial Planning and Analysis : Providing financial forecasts and monthly reporting against forecasts, and helping the business achieve its goals, providing cash flow estimates and managing cash flow, in a compliant manner
Qualifications
Strong finance and accounting skills, including experience with financial statements and budgeting in the capital goods manufacturing industry.
Hands-on knowledge of Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Income Tax (IT), including filings, compliance, documentation, audits, and appeals.
Ability to collaborate with Sales and Manufacturing teams to manage cash flow.
Proficiency with Tally accounting software and MS Office.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.
Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
