Job description

Key Responsibilities

Plant Operations

  • Lead end-to-end O&M activities across multiple solar power plants.
  • Ensure maximum plant availability and generation performance.
  • Monitor key performance indicators including PR, CUF, availability, generation loss, and energy yield.
  • Review daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.

Maintenance Management

  • Develop preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies.
  • Ensure timely maintenance of modules, inverters, transformers, HT/LT systems, SCB, AJB, switchyard, transmission line, and associated equipment.
  • Improve equipment reliability and minimize breakdowns.

Asset Performance

  • Monitor plant performance using SCADA and digital monitoring systems.
  • Analyze generation losses and recommend improvement initiatives.
  • Drive continuous performance improvement and reliability enhancement programs.

Team Management

  • Lead O&M Managers, Engineers, Technicians, and Site Teams.
  • Define KPIs and monitor team performance.
  • Mentor and develop technical capabilities across locations.

Budget & Cost Control

  • Prepare and manage annual O&M budgets.
  • Optimize maintenance costs without compromising plant performance.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and vendor contracts.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards and statutory regulations.
  • Promote a strong safety culture with zero-incident objectives.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and compliance reviews.

Vendor & Contract Management

  • Manage AMC contracts and third-party service providers.
  • Evaluate contractor performance and service quality.
  • Negotiate commercial and technical terms where applicable.

Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, EPC teams, asset owners, DISCOMs, SLDC/RLDC, OEMs, and regulatory authorities.
  • Present operational performance to senior management.

Reporting & MIS

  • Prepare monthly operational dashboards and management reports.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support business planning and strategic initiatives.
