OpenText VIM AMS Consultant (L2/L3 Functional & Enhancement Support)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced OpenText VIM AMS Consultant to provide L2/L3 application support and functional enhancement services for OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) integrated with SAP ECC/S/4HANA. The role involves incident resolution, invoice process optimization, stakeholder management, and support for minor enhancements across the invoice lifecycle.

What You'll Do

AMS Support (L2/L3)

• Resolve incidents, service requests, and problem tickets related to OpenText VIM.
• Monitor end-to-end invoice processing from capture to archiving.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
• Ensure SLA, KPI, and system availability compliance.

Invoice Processing & Exception Management

• Troubleshoot OCR/data extraction, workflow, validation, and posting issues.
• Handle PO and Non-PO invoice exceptions, duplicate invoices, tax/GST issues, and tolerance mismatches.
• Support MIRO and FB60 posting-related activities.

Enhancements & Configuration

• Implement workflow and approval matrix changes.
• Configure VIM Document Processing (DP) and Invoice Processing (IP).
• Manage reason codes, exception types, user roles, and transport migrations across landscapes.

Functional Consulting

• Gather business requirements and propose VIM-based solutions.
• Create functional specifications for enhancements.
• Support testing activities including Unit Testing, UAT, and deployment validation.

Integration & Coordination

• Support integrations between OpenText VIM, SAP FI/MM, Archive Link, and Content Server.
• Analyze issues related to RFCs, IDocs, queues, background jobs, and posting failures.
• Work closely with ABAP, Basis, and infrastructure teams.

Audit & Documentation

• Support SOX compliance and audit requirements.
• Maintain SOPs, KEDB, and enhancement documentation.
• Ensure invoice traceability and audit readiness.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM).
• Solid knowledge of SAP FI (Accounts Payable).
• Working knowledge of SAP MM Invoice Verification.
• Understanding of P2P and Invoice-to-Pay (I2P) processes.
• Experience with SAP ECC/S/4HANA integration.
• Knowledge of ArchiveLink, document archiving, job monitoring, and error analysis.
• Basic ABAP debugging and log analysis skills.

Preferred Skills

• OpenText VIM Certification.
• ITIL Certification.
• Experience in Utilities, Manufacturing, or Shared Services domains.
• Exposure to OCR optimization and invoice automation initiatives.
