Job Title: ThingWorx Technical Training Consultant/Industrial IoT Support Enablement Specialist

Quantiphi is looking for a seasoned instructor to facilitate a high-impact, on-site certification in Trivandrum. The goal is to transfer complete operational control of a production ThingWorx application to a cohort of 12 full-stack engineers. Spanning four full days over two weekends (9:00 AM–5:00 PM), the sessions will transform platform newcomers into system specialists. Delivery will center on the unique ThingWorx architecture, Composer-driven diagnostics, and essential operational tools like Kepware and subsystem monitoring. The scope is precisely targeted at maintenance and advanced troubleshooting over development, with 70% of the training focused on hands-on diagnostic labs. This engagement ensures the internal team can uphold inherited SLAs without external support, with final proficiency confirmed through a high-stakes, timed capstone evaluation and a guided shadow phase to guarantee continuous service availability.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute a 'Support-first' curriculum focused on rapid diagnosis, restoration, and operational troubleshooting rather than feature development.
• Provision and manage sandbox environments mirroring production (ThingWorx 10.0, Kepware 7.x), ensuring fault scenarios are pre-seeded and ready for on-demand training.
• Tailor training materials and scenario banks to the specific application topology, ensuring technical relevance.

Instruction & Mentorship

• Facilitate high-intensity instructor-led sessions, maintaining a 70/30 ratio of hands-on diagnostic labs to theory.
• Oversee the development of operational artifacts, including team-authored troubleshooting runbooks and technical cheat sheets.
• Monitor participant performance during live diagnostics and connectivity labs, enforcing production-grade support standards.

Assessment & Readiness Certification

• Administer SLA-clocked capstone assessments to evaluate diagnostic competency under on-call pressure.
• Issue definitive readiness verdicts (e.g., Independent, Supervised, Not Ready) based on a structured scoring rubric.
• Generate leadership readiness packs, providing evidence-based go/no-go recommendations for production access and SLA ownership.

Qualifications

• ThingWorx Platform Mastery: Deep subject matter expertise in ThingWorx Foundation (10.x+) and its architectural stack (Tomcat, PostgreSQL, Logging). Must be fluent in Composer as a diagnostic console, not just an authoring tool.
• Industrial Connectivity: Extensive, hands-on experience with Kepware Server (7.x) and industrial data integration. Proven ability to troubleshoot OT-to-Platform connectivity, tag mapping, and data flow.
• Operational Support: Demonstrable experience in a production-support role, specifically managing SLA-backed incidents, performing root-cause analysis (RCA), and navigating complex log-level troubleshooting (e.g., Script, Communication, and Security logs).

Instructional & Design Experience

• Curriculum Development: Proven track record in designing scenario-based, 'fault-driven' training programs. Must be capable of building sandbox environments that mirror production-grade topologies.
• Facilitation Skills: Ability to lead high-intensity, technical workshops with a 70/30 split between hands-on diagnostic labs and lecture. Must be comfortable coaching engineers through high-pressure, simulated failure scenarios.
• Assessment Rigor: Expertise in designing objective, evidence-based assessment frameworks. Ability to create and score SLA-clocked capstone projects that accurately reflect readiness for production support.

Professional Competencies

• Outcome-Oriented Communication: Ability to synthesize complex technical performance data into concise, actionable readiness reports for senior leadership.
• Mentorship: Experience overseeing structured 'shadow' phases to convert technical competence into consistent operational performance.
• SLA Discipline: Strong understanding of ITIL or equivalent incident management frameworks, with a clear focus on time-to-acknowledge and time-to-restore metrics.
