Lead the mobile platform behind Clinicus the app patients and care teams rely on every day for remote monitoring and coordinated care, built to run reliably at the scale of millions of users. React Native is our core; strong native (iOS/Android) engineers are equally welcome.

Role Summary:

You'll lead our mobile platform end-to-end architecture, performance, release pipeline, and the engineering standards the rest of the team builds against.

You set the bar for how mobile is built here, mentor the mobile team, and own the hard problems others route around: offline sync, device fragmentation, background health-data capture, and shipping HIPAA-compliant experiences that stay fast and stable at scale, collaborating with stakeholders to turn product needs into robust, iterative features across front-end and server-side.

What You'll Do:

- Lead the architecture and long-term health of the React Native codebase modularity, state management, navigation, and native-bridge boundaries for apps operating at scale.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate product requirements into technical solutions, and deliver robust features iteratively.

- Build data integration workflows, validation checks, and automation that support business operations.

- Define and enforce mobile engineering best practices: code standards, testing, CI/CD, crash monitoring, performance budgets, and release/versioning discipline.

- Ship patient- and provider-facing features across the RPM/CCM/TCM care flows, from design through App Store / Play Store release.

- Own reliability and performance at scale crash-free sessions, startup time, memory, battery, and smooth behavior across a wide range of devices and OS versions.

- Conduct unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning to ensure a seamless user experience.

- Go deep on the hard problems offline-first sync, background tasks, push/notifications, secure PHI handling on-device, and native modules when the bridge isn't enough.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams product, design, QA, and other developers to align on goals and deliverables.

- Set the technical direction for mobile and grow the team through active code review, knowledge sharing, and reusable components/patterns others adopt.

- Stay informed on emerging trends and best practices in mobile and full-stack development, and apply them proactively.

What We're Looking For (Must-have):

- 7+ years building and shipping production mobile apps, with deep, proven React Native expertise (apps live in the App Store / Play Store).

- Proven experience building or leading apps at meaningful scale (large or high-growth user bases), with a real track record on reliability and performance.

- Strong grasp of mobile architecture state management, offline/data sync, navigation, and the React Native ? native bridge.

- Open and willing to work in native (iOS/Android) when a problem calls for it comfortable at the React Native ? native boundary, and ready to go deeper as needed.

- Ownership of the full release lifecycle: CI/CD, signing, store submission, phased rollouts, crash/error monitoring.

- A track record of defining best practices and lifting a team's standard technical leadership, not just shipping their own code.

- Genuine problem-solver who goes the extra mile on complex, ambiguous problems rather than working around them.

Nice-to-have :

- Healthcare / health-tech experience, especially RPM/CCM or anything touching PHI and HIPAA compliance.

- Hands-on native iOS (Swift/Obj-C) or Android (Kotlin/Java) experience writing native modules, debugging platform-specific issues.

- Performance-tuning depth (Hermes, profiling, native rendering) and experience with the New Architecture (Fabric / TurboModules).

- Familiarity with our broader stack so mobile integrates cleanly with backend/APIs.
