The District Sales Leader (DSL) is responsible for driving sales growth, managing Sales Officers, strengthening dealer and distributor networks, and ensuring effective execution of business plans within the assigned district. The role focuses on achieving sales and collection targets, expanding market presence, conducting farmer engagement activities, and supporting the sales team to achieve organizational objectives.
District Sales Leader (DSL) – Roles & Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets within the assigned district.
- Lead, guide, and monitor Sales Officers to ensure effective territory coverage and target achievement.
- Develop and strengthen dealer, distributor, and retailer networks to expand business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, retailers, and farmers to drive customer satisfaction.
- Plan and execute farmer meetings, field demonstrations, promotional campaigns, and product awareness programs.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer requirements, and provide regular market intelligence to the Area Sales Manager.
- Ensure timely order collection, product availability, stock movement, and market penetration across the district.
- Monitor dealer outstanding payments, follow up on collections, and ensure compliance with the company's credit policy.
- Review Sales Officer performance through regular field visits, coaching, and performance evaluations to improve productivity.
- Submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports, maintain MIS records, and ensure compliance with company policies and operational guidelines.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or any relevant discipline.
- Freshers or candidates with 1–3 years of experience in agricultural input sales are encouraged to apply.
- Good communication and relationship-building skills.
- Basic knowledge of agricultural products and farming practices.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- Valid two-wheeler & driving license is preferred.
