Senior Implementation Specialist

About The Role :

At Professional Services, our Implementation Centre of Excellence (ICoE) ensures that client implementations run seamlessly from start to finish. We manage every stage, from initial setup and data migration to integration, training, and go-livewhile providing ongoing support to deliver an exceptional client experience.

This role focuses on configuring our software using provided toolsets rather than pure code development. Implementation Specialists use their functional knowledge to understand client requirements, advise on solution design aligned with product and industry best practices, and use their technical expertise to configure and test solutions for clients after the initial purchase has taken place.

A solid understanding of core development principles is highly beneficial. Success in this position requires strong analytical skills and a keen interest in understanding the data that drives business processes, as well as ensuring its quality.

As an Implementation Specialist, you will :

- Collaborate with clients post-purchase to install, configure, and customize systems.

- Define objectives, tailor features to client needs, and deliver training sessions.

- Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring clients adopt the product seamlessly while enjoying a consistently positive and value-driven experience.

You will typically report to a Project Manager or Implementation Lead and work within a small team of specialists. While most work is office-based, occasional travel may be required to meet clients.

Domain Experience :

The Professional Services team is seeking someone with industry experience within the IT domain who has previously worked on projects in the data management space for asset types such as Equities, Bonds, FX, Futures, Forwards, Options, Swaps, Volatilities, Credit Curves, and Commodities, with client-facing exposure.

Experience in Asset Management, Custody, Hedge Funds, Pension Funds, or Risk is preferred.

Key Responsibilities :

You will be involved in activities spanning the entire lifecycle of project implementation :

- Analyze and develop new requirements for customers. Engage with clients to understand needs, reproduce use cases, and deliver solutions that enhance their experience.

- Upgrade existing functionalities and drive smooth, timely implementations.

- Develop, build, and unit test components from detailed low-level designs.

- Contribute to all phases of the development cycle (Development, Deployment, Testing, Release Management).

- Document all deliverables accurately.

- Adhere to established standards and procedures to ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality.

Required Skill Sets :

- Good understanding of database concepts.

- Ability to code using SQL/PLSQL.

- At least one scripting language : Shell / Python / Java.

- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

- Understanding of J2EE concepts and experience with any application server.

Preferred Skill Sets :

- Familiarity with agile ways of working and cross-functional teams.

- Exposure to reference data vendors.

- Experience with queuing technologies (Kafka, MQ, Solace).

- Familiarity with Git/JIRA/Jenkins/Bamboo and DevOps practices.

- Capital markets knowledge; certifications like NCFM/NISM or trade lifecycle exposure are a plus.
