System Engineer

Summary:

This role involves understanding embedded systems with a focus on the brakes domain. The position requires converting customer requirements into Polarian requirements sections, creating CBZ documents, implementing requirements traceability, and coordinating internally with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Convert customer requirements into Polarian requirements sections.
• Create CBZ documents and implement requirements traceability tables in Polarian.
• Track work in Polarian.
• Interface with the manufacturing unit and brakes team.
• Coordinate with the brakes system engineering team.
• Interact for tendering and bidding activities.
• Collect requirements, develop CDCs, and evaluate suitability.

Requirements:

• Experience level: 4-7 years.
• Embedded system experience is a must.
• Polarian tool experience is highly preferred.

Required Skills:

• Strong communication skills: ability to talk, understand, ask questions, and interact effectively.
• Familiarity with embedded systems.
• Willingness to learn Polarian if experienced with similar tools like DOORS.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in the railroad industry is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Experience in other transportation industries is a plus but not required for the initial 6-7 months.
• Understanding of control algorithms is sufficient hands-on experience is not mandatory.
