Junior Utility Design Engineer

Job Description

• · Development of conceptual and detailed design of dry utility systems in accordance with standards.
• · Develop designs including alignments, profiles, sections and trench design in coordination.
• · Knowledge of subsurface utility engineering principles
• · Prepare engineering drawings, 2D and 3D designs of utilities and volumetric analysis
• · Contribute to quality assurance/quality control processes.
• · Develop 3D design models for conflict analysis and resolution in Civil3D.
  
  

Qualifications

• · Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• · 2+ years of experience in municipal and/or transportation infrastructure projects.
• · Ability to design dry utility systems
• · Experience with underground infrastructure design (water, sanitary, storm, drainage) will be an asset.
• · Working knowledge of CAD platforms (Civil 3D & AutoCAD) will be an asset.
• · Working knowledge of BIM process, development of design and review process over Autodesk construction cloud (ACC) will be an asset.
• · Strong communication skills and experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.
• · High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work
• · Ability to learn on the job and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
