The Role

The Venture Debt team is looking to add an investment professional at AVP to VP level to our growing Venture Debt team in Bengaluru. The Fund has made over 60 investments from Series A to Pre-IPO and as an active team member, you are expected to own deals end-to-end — origination, underwriting, structuring, IC presentation, documentation, and portfolio monitoring. You'll work directly with senior leadership with clear visibility into fund strategy and investor activity.

What You'll Do

Deal Origination & Execution

●Source and evaluate venture debt opportunities across growth-stage startups in partnership with VCs, accelerators, and ecosystem networks.

●Lead end-to-end transaction execution — financial analysis, credit underwriting, term sheet negotiation, documentation, and closing.

●Prepare IC memos and present recommendations independently. Structure bespoke debt solutions aligned with borrower cash flows and fund risk parameters.

Portfolio Monitoring & Risk Management

●Track covenant compliance, financial milestones, and early warning indicators across the active portfolio.

●Prepare portfolio updates for internal leadership and investors. Escalate credit risks proactively; contribute to restructuring or exit decisions.

Relationships & Ecosystem

●Build relationships with founders, CFOs, VCs, and co-investors in Bengaluru and broader India.

●Support transaction syndication and represent Lighthouse Canton at industry forums.

What We're Looking For

●5–10 years in venture debt, structured credit, or IB with direct, end-to-end deal execution experience.

●Demonstrated ability to independently own and close transactions — origination, structuring, IC, and documentation.

●Strong credit underwriting: financial modelling, cash flow analysis, covenant design, and risk assessment.

●Existing relationships in the startup/VC ecosystem in Bengaluru — a strong plus.

●Confident communicator — comfortable in front of founders, investors, and IC.

●MBA or CA.
