Major builders/contractors have their own batching plant and so do not need RMC. RMC is a low capital business and new competition can enter any time and adversely impact the prices. Aggregates are an important constituent of RMC and are supplied by unorganized sector controlled by mafia on which
corporate world can have least influence. The present focus of Grasim s RMC business is on
market expansion and influencing the governments to provide tax benefits for RMC so that SMC
segment can be converted to RMC. Focus in the near future would be introducing RMC in rural
areas and attempting captive sources for aggregates

KRA1		To Plan coordinate and ensure cost effective smooth Supply of Concrete achieving high customer delight Internal & External which fetches high profitability in the Ready Mix concrete business and also to maintain high Brand name. Accountability: Planning Concrete Order Execution Optimum utilization of available resources. To ensure the Internal as well External Customer Satisfaction.
