About

We are India's first honest OPD (outpatient) health plan — covering doctor consultations, diagnostics, medicines, dental and vision from as low as 333/month, with zero waiting period. The plan is powered by Alyve Health and underwritten by IRDAI-licensed insurers HDFC ERGO and GoDigit. We are operated by Zap Private Limited, a trusted digital financial services platform serving 4 crore+ Indians.

The Role

As a Healthcare Counsellor, you will be the first point of contact for prospective members exploring our organization understanding their health and family coverage needs over the phone, explaining plan benefits clearly, and guiding them to the right plan and closing the sale. This is a consultative telesales role that blends outbound/inbound calling with genuine health-need counselling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound leads and make outbound calls to prospective members, understanding their household health coverage needs.
  • Explain plan tiers (Essential / Pro / Advance), OPD wallet benefits, and pricing clearly and accurately consult, don't just pitch.
  • Convert qualified leads into activated members, owning the call-to-close cycle end-to-end.
  • Maintain daily call and conversion targets; log every interaction and outcome in the CRM.
  • Handle objections and plan-comparison questions confidently; escalate complex cases where needed.
  • Follow up with warm/interested prospects through the decision cycle without being pushy.
  • Stay current on plan details, network partners, and competitor OPD/health-plan offerings.

What We're Looking For

  • 3-6 years of telesales/telecalling experience, ideally in health insurance, general insurance, healthcare services, or fitness/wellness industry.
  • Proven track record of hitting call and conversion/revenue targets in a target-driven phone sales environment.
  • Strong spoken communication in English and Hindi (additional regional language is a plus); ability to build trust quickly over a call.
  • Comfortable explaining benefit structures, sub-limits, and pricing without sounding scripted.
  • High ownership, resilience to rejection, and a consultative rather than purely transactional selling style.
  • Basic comfort with CRM/dialer tools and MS Office/Google Sheets for reporting.
