SAP FI/CO Functional Consultant

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced SAP FI/CO Functional Consultant to support and enhance SAP Finance and Controlling processes for business operations. The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise in SAP FI/CO, hands-on experience with SAP ECC 6.0 or SAP S/4HANA Finance, and a solid understanding of financial accounting and controlling processes. The role involves providing day-to-day functional support, resolving business issues, managing financial closing activities, and collaborating with business stakeholders to improve financial operations. Experience supporting UAE business units or GCC finance processes is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities :

- Provide day-to-day functional support for SAP FI/CO modules across business units.

- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot SAP FI/CO functionalities to support business operations.

- Manage and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing activities.

- Analyze business requirements and recommend SAP-based solutions to improve finance processes.

- Support General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Controlling (CO) modules.

- Work closely with finance teams to resolve functional issues and optimize system performance.

- Coordinate with technical teams for enhancements, custom developments, and issue resolution.

- Support testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

- Prepare functional specifications, process documentation, and user training materials.

- Ensure compliance with financial controls, accounting standards, and organizational policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5+ years of experience as an SAP FI/CO Functional Consultant or in SAP Finance support.

- Strong functional expertise in :

1. General Ledger (GL)

2. Accounts Payable (AP)

3. Accounts Receivable (AR)

4. Asset Accounting (AA)

5. Controlling (CO)

- Hands-on experience with SAP ECC 6.0 and/or SAP S/4HANA Finance.

- Experience supporting month-end and year-end financial closing cycles.

- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and business processes.

- Experience in SAP configuration, issue analysis, and production support.

- Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into functional solutions.

- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience supporting UAE or GCC finance operations.

- Knowledge of integration between SAP FI/CO and other SAP modules such as MM, SD, and PP.

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration or implementation projects.

- Familiarity with SAP Fiori applications and reporting tools.

- SAP FI/CO certification is an added advantage.
