SAP Basis Administrator

About the Role :

We are looking for a skilled SAP Basis Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize SAP landscapes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SAP system administration, monitoring, transport management, and performance tuning across SAP ECC 6.0 and/or SAP S/4HANA environments. You will be responsible for ensuring the availability, security, and performance of SAP systems while supporting implementation, upgrades, and daily operational activities.

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer, monitor, and maintain SAP environments, ensuring high system availability and performance.

- Manage SAP NetWeaver landscapes, including both ABAP and Java stacks.

- Perform SAP system installations, upgrades, kernel updates, patches, and system refreshes.

- Administer SAP ECC 6.0 and/or SAP S/4HANA systems.

- Monitor system health using SAP monitoring tools such as CCMS, SAP Solution Manager, or equivalent.

- Manage Transport Management System (TMS), transport requests, and change control processes.

- Perform system performance tuning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.

- Coordinate client copies, system copies, backups, and disaster recovery activities.

- Collaborate with SAP functional and technical teams during implementations, upgrades, and production support.

- Ensure compliance with security standards, user administration, and system governance.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 4+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis Administration.

- Strong knowledge of SAP NetWeaver architecture.

- Experience working with both ABAP and Java stacks.

- Hands-on experience administering SAP ECC 6.0 and/or SAP S/4HANA landscapes.

- Proficiency with SAP monitoring tools such as :

1. SAP CCMS

2. SAP Solution Manager

3. Equivalent monitoring solutions

- Experience managing SAP Transport Management System (TMS) and change management processes.

- Familiarity with Linux and/or Windows operating systems.

- Experience working with database platforms such as :

1. SAP HANA

2. Oracle

3. Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL)

- Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with SAP system migrations and upgrades.

- Knowledge of SAP High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) configurations.

- Exposure to cloud-based SAP environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- Familiarity with automation and scripting for SAP administration.

- SAP Basis certification is an added advantage.
