Job Summary

The PPRT Classical Dance Teacher is responsible for introducing pre-primary students (Nursery, LKG, UKG) to the fundamentals of Indian classical dance in a joyful, age-appropriate, and engaging manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach the basics of Indian classical dance forms such as Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Odissi, or other recognized styles suitable for young learners.
• Plan and deliver engaging dance lessons using storytelling, music, rhythm, and movement.
• Develop students' coordination, balance, flexibility, posture, facial expressions, and motor skills.
• Choreograph performances for Annual Day, Festivals, Assemblies, and other school events.
• Foster confidence, discipline, teamwork, creativity, and stage presence among students.
• Ensure classes are conducted in a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment.
• Maintain dance costumes, props, music, and classroom resources.
• Participate in school meetings, workshops, and professional development activities.
• Support extracurricular clubs, competitions, and inter-school cultural events.
