Mechanical Engineer - NPI

We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our NPI team in Bangalore to work on our flagship products. An expert mechanical engineer with multi skill who can independently lead & deliver robotics and automation projects with quality and in a quick timeline and become a value adder to the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Must to have

• Work with an interdisciplinary team to execute Detailed designs from concept to production.
• Detailed 'Design for manufacturability' knowledge across a wide range of fabrication processes
• Extensive experience with 3D mechanical design and associated software applications such as Inventor and Creo CAD
• Documentation of Design, Manufacturing and Assembly processes.

Nice to have

• Involve in R&D for constantly improving the performance and reliability of the product.
• Mobile robotics/ robotics is a plus
• Actively participate in production and testing of new hardware and systems.
• On-site inspection of parts and systems at vendor's site.
• Support Production, Installation and Service department staff when necessary to resolve problems encountered during product lifecycle.
• Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of Mechanical Designs
• Documentation of Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA/ DFMEA) for Mechanical Systems

Requirements:

• Diploma/ B.Tech with overall experience of 2 years in Mechanical design
• Proficient in 3D and 2D CAD modelling.
• Experience in any PLM software such as Windchill, Teamcenter Engineer, etc.
• Knowledge and experience of working with diverse manufacturing processes, including but not limited to Castings, Machining, Welding, Plastic molding, Sheet Metal, etc.
• Experience in Documentation of Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA/ DFMEA) for Mechanical Systems
• Well versed with GD&T
• Detailed 'Design for Manufacturability' knowledge across a wide range of fabrication/manufacturing processes.
• Thorough knowledge of materials and material properties.
• Ability to learn things quickly & adapt to a dynamic, fast paced work environment.
• Knowledge of basic electronics is an added advantage
