Junior Data Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Junior Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data integration solutions. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in SQL, Python, cloud technologies, and ETL concepts, with a passion for working with large datasets and modern data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines.
  
• Build, optimize, and troubleshoot data workflows.
  
• Extract, transform, and load data from multiple structured and unstructured sources.
  
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
  
• Monitor data pipelines and resolve production issues.
  
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance standards are followed.
  
• Work with cloud-based data platforms and storage services.
  
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, BI Developers, and business stakeholders.
  
• Support data warehouse and data lake implementations.
  
• Participate in code reviews and follow CI/CD best practices.
  
• Document technical designs, workflows, and operational procedures.
  

Required Skills

• 1–3 years of experience in Data Engineering or ETL Development.
  
• Strong SQL skills.
  
• Good programming experience in Python.
  
• Knowledge of ETL tools and data integration concepts.
  
• Experience with at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  
• Understanding of relational databases and data warehousing concepts.
  
• Familiarity with Git and version control.
  
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and data ingestion techniques.
  
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, or GCP Dataflow.
  
• Exposure to Databricks or Apache Spark.
  
• Knowledge of Kafka or other streaming technologies.
  
• Experience with Snowflake, Synapse, BigQuery, or Redshift.
  
• Understanding of Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools.
  
• Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau.
  
• Basic knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
