BIM Modeler – Utilities

Job Description

• · Work under the direction of Project BIM Lead.
• · Develop comprehensive 3D models for underground dry, as well as roadways, grading of surfaces.
• · Develop BIM deliverables complaint to project requirements, international standards, and client expectations.
• · Manage BIM interfaces with other project areas (civil works, equipment, operations, etc.
• · Maintain up-to-date models reflecting design revisions, construction phasing, and final turnover, including accurate representation of as-built conditions.
• · Support Preparation of Drawing package
• · Knowledge of subsurface utility engineering principles
• · Prepare engineering drawings, 2D and 3D designs of utilities and prepare BIM deliverables in .NWC and .NWD and IFC file formats.
• · Contribute to quality assurance/quality control processes.
• · Contribute to BIM deliverables such as TIDP, MIDP, version and Document control.

Qualifications

• · 5+ years of experience in BIM processes and tools.
• · Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D (utilities, alignments, corridors, assemblies, surfaces, and data shortcuts), AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Autodesk Desktop Connector, and Bluebeam Revu.
• · Experience with modelling of underground infrastructure design (dry utilities, duct banks, water, sanitary, storm, drainage) will be an asset.
• · Strong knowledge of CAD platforms (Civil 3D & AutoCAD) will be an asset.
• · Working knowledge of BIM process , development of design and review process over Autodesk construction cloud ( ACC) will be an asset.
• · Excellent coordination, documentation, and version control practices.
• · Self-directed, detail-oriented, and capable of managing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• · Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams.
